Early Childhood Education

Our early childhood education program is designed to serve families with children ages 0-5 years. There are many options including parent/child classes and child-only classes.

We run two preschool programs Little Learners for three-year-old children and Bright Beginnings for four-year-old children. Both programs are designed to be play-based, skill building programs. Students will engage with peers and adults on a regular basis while building important readiness skills.

Our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program is designed to support and strengthen families as they care and grow with young children by providing opportunities for young children to play together and learn through creative activities while their parents stay and support their child's play.

Weekly we have an Amazing Newborn Clinic staffed with nurses and parent educator. This is a great time to have your infant weighed and have any questions you have about development answered. Drop-in Tuesdays from 11:30am-1pm at Roosevelt Community School.

Several times a month we offer Early Childhood Screening. This is a health and developmental screening for 3-5 year old children. It is required by Minnesota for all children prior to entering kindergarten. Please call (507) 444-7900 or go online to register
