Owatonna Community Education has two options for preschool. Little Learners is for children who will be three years old by September 1. Bright Beginnings is for children who will be four years old by September 1.

Bright Beginnings / School Readiness Preschool
Four-year-old Preschool
- For children who are four years old by September 1.
- A free preschool experience, made possible through state funding.
Class Options
- 4 days a week, morning class
- Roosevelt Community School, 8:30-11:30 am
- 5 days a week, morning or afternoon classes
- Owatonna Education Center, 8:15-10:45 am or 12:15-2:45 pm
- Roosevelt Community School, 12:30-3:00 pm
Benefits of Bright Beginnings Preschool
- Curriculum: Fountas & Pinnell literacy skills that set the foundation for reading, Everyday Math, Conscious Discipline social skills.
- Most classrooms are co-taught by two licensed teachers (Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education) to meet all student needs. All classrooms have 2-3 adults.
- Dramatic play, writing, reading, art, building, and sensory centers in all classrooms.
- Building independence & self help skills.
- Opportunities to engage in parent-child activities including field trips, conferences, and information posted to ClassDojo.

Little Learners Preschool
Three-year-old Preschool
Little Learners Preschool is a targeted-service preschool for children who are 3-years-old by September 1, and for children not enrolled in other school district or community child-only preschool programs. It is a center-based preschool located at Roosevelt Community School. There are two- and three-day options.
