Bring your broken items and your curiosity to Steele County’s next Fix-It Clinic! Skilled volunteer Fixers will help you troubleshoot and repair household items—like lamps, toasters, clothing, or small electronics—while you learn how it’s done.

Each participant may bring up to two items to work on during the event. Together, we’ll save money, reduce waste, build our skills, and keep useful things out of the landfill!

Join Owatonna Community Education for our free Tech Connect Clinic, where volunteers and IT professionals provide friendly, one-on-one support for your everyday technology questions.

Whether you're new to computers or simply need help with a specific task, we'll work at your pace in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Bring your laptop, tablet, or smartphone for assistance with:

• Setting up or accessing email accounts
• Connecting devices to Wi-Fi
• Downloading and organizing apps
• Learning basic computer and internet skills
• Managing passwords and account settings
• Organizing photos and files
• General technology questions

No question is too small. Bring your device, charger, and any passwords or account information you may need.

A Day at the Arboretum (Register on Sept 11)

In 2019, USA Today named the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum the Best Botanical Garden in North America! Spend the day exploring 1,200 acres of professionally maintained gardens, rare plant collections, and accessible walking trails while discovering stunning landscapes, seasonal blooms, and peaceful natural beauty around every corner. 

Tour includes:
- Admission
- Boxed lunch served in a private dining area
    Choice of sandwich: turkey, ham or veggie (gluten-free option available)
    Lunch also includes chips, an apple, cookie, and bottled water

Annie at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre! (Registration open)

Boasting one of Broadway's most memorable scores, including "It's the Hard-Knock Life," "Easy Street," "N.Y.C." and the ever-optimistic "Tomorrow," Annie is a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family.

Arsenic & Old Lace at the Sidekick Theater! (Registration open)

What do you do when your eccentric family has actual skeletons in the closet? Mortimer Brewster may be the only sane member of his family. You will select your meal preference at registration. Your options include a Classic Cheeseburger, Walleye Sandwich, Fried Chicken Sandwich, or Veggie Bowl.

Bookshop Hop! (Register on Sept 11)

Calling all book lovers! Hop aboard the coach bus for a Bookshop Hop and spend the day exploring a curated collection of independent bookstores across the Twin Cities. We'll do the planning and the driving while you simply enjoy the adventure as each destination is revealed along the way.

From thoughtfully curated shelves and hidden literary gems to cozy neighborhood bookshops and one truly unique specialty bookstore, every stop offers a new opportunity to discover your next favorite read. Along the journey, you'll have plenty of time to browse, connect with fellow readers, and soak in the charm of each surprise location.

We'll also stop for lunch at a popular local destination (meal is on your own), giving you time to relax before continuing our literary adventure.

Whether you're hunting for a bestseller, a collectible treasure, or simply looking for a fun day surrounded by books and fellow readers, this Bookshop Hop is the perfect escape. Bring a reusable tote (or two)—you never know what treasures you'll uncover before the final chapter of the day.

And Then There Were None at the Guthrie! (Register on Sept 11)

Lunch will be held at Gary’s Supper Club in Lakeville, MN. Choose your preferred meal at registration. Options are: Classic Burger, Reuben Sandwich, Caprese Melt, or Caesar Salad. The Burger, Sandwich, and Melt come with a pickle and chips. The salad comes with a slice of grilled French baguette. The meal also includes one soda/water. All extras are on-your-own.
