Adult/Youth Enrichment

Adult/Family Enrichment Programs:

“Celebrating life and learning” is the key to Adult and Family Enrichment classes and trips! With an emphasis on continuous learning opportunities, more than 300 classes are offered to local residents each year. From fitness classes to professional computer instruction to varying art mediums, concerts, local history classes, special events, and day trips... we have a little something for everyone! Our enrichment classes are fee-based and are created from customer feedback and community interest. If you have an idea for a future trip or class, let us know by calling our office or just stop by and ask to speak to our coordinator!

How to Become a Community Education Instructor:

Do you have a special talent or skill to share with others? Each year we hire many individuals as independent contractors to instruct our classes. While many of our instructors are professionals, we actively recruit people who have hobbies or expertise in an area, which can be developed into a class or workshop. Last year over 100 instructors submitted course proposals! Call us at (507) 444-7900 or stop in-person to learn more about instructor qualifications and responsibilities.

Youth Enrichment Programs:

Youth enrichment provides a variety of opportunities for youth to pursue their interests, expand their abilities, and improve their social skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Classes are multi-age ranging from preschool through the 8th grade. The courses cover a variety of subject areas including yoga, computer coding, art, martial arts, world languages, and dance. Different camps are offered during the summer that involve science, technology, history, art, music and theater, sports and movement, cooking, and other special interests.
